The Tens

The tens will make the misery of the thirties look like the plenty of the fifties.

The tens will make the American Revolution look like a coronation.

We trundle our bundles from the smoke to stand at the fulcrum and shove the lever toward our good. There’s something to share, always. We work together, build friendships, learn who we are, find out who we can count on, help one another. We wonder what will come up as we let down the lines.
