1. This is a sacred pilgrimage.

2. Our main priority is setting up the TempleHedron on the main playa- it's
an official art piece. The temple erection will be a live performance, it's the
first time we will set up the temple in California, after it's long & trying trip
from Bali. It's been our vehicle of inspiration for the past months and has
opened up many gates for those involved. Click here for details.

3. After the TempleHedron is in place, and a mandala and shrine built
around it, we will begin the construction of the Dojo Temple- a space for
activation. It will be built near the TempleHedron, and it's capacity is to be
a useable temple space, whereas the TempleHedron is mostly a monument.
Inside the dojo we will pursue our learning of the way*. A sound system
and gennie are being sourced for this space.

4. After the Dojo is installed, we are open to building a 'chill spot',
something like a Bedouin tent, resources permitting. We have enough
material to do the three installations; at this point it's a human power thing.
And a puzzle of coordination.

5. On Wednesday night, Gamelon X will lead a zombie parade to the
DojoTemple and activate the space with an interactive gong show.

6. Through the week, the Dojo space will provide room for meditational
arts, dancing, and ritual/elevated communication.

7. We are looking for:

Videographer- to document the process of templization

Sound System- to provide
openmic/inspirationalarts/spontaneoustemplejam opportunities in the Dojo.

Help building- we need people who can be at the burn on Saturday and
want to help erect our bamboo temples with the super sweet dragonBall
joinery system designed by the Balifornia crew!!!

*The cultural model of the dojo adopted today, by the most contemporary budo practitioners, is that of
the gym. This sounds logical because, at the surface, budo practice represents a physical activity.
However this is not but the surface of a very complicated matter. On a deeper level budo is mainly
concerned with the spirit. Dojo literally means a "place to study the way," or in a broader meaning a
"place of searching for enlightenment". A detailed study of the kanji used for dojo, indicates a link of a
long philosophical heritage, as it comes from the Sanskrit term bodhimandala; bodhi means
enlightenment and mandala is a graphic symbol of the universe, used as an object of focus in seeking
the enlightenment state. Thus the place in which serious spiritual search takes place becomes the
vehicle for bodhi. In other words a dojo is a special place for those seeking higher consciousness.
Certainly it is a training hall; but thinking only in terms of the physical activity, is a limited understanding
of the concept.
